As a senior member of the British royal family, Prince William‘s style is fairly predictable. The heir to the throne is always dressed modestly and elegantly and typically, his face is clean-shaven. However, in a new video with his wife, Kate Middleton, the Prince of Wales debuted a decidedly different look.
As the 2024 Paris Olympics came to an end on Sunday, August 11, 2024, the royal couple sent a joint message to athletes. Fans were thrilled to see the Princess of Wales, who revealed earlier this year that she was diagnosed with cancer. But many other followers commented on Prince William’s unexpected stubble.
“Well done @TeamGB, what an incredible journey,” the caption read. “Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud!”
They added: “Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @Paris2024 and looking forward to more from @ParalympicsGB later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇.”
At the beginning of the clip, rapper Snoop Dogg declared, “Greetings, loved ones.” That’s when Kate said to the camera, “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.” Prince William then added, “Well done on all you’ve achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
