Former first lady Michelle Obama has revealed she\u2019s in therapy to help \u201ctune up\u201d for the next phase of her life \u2014 as she continues to shoot down rumors that she and husband Barack are headed for divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this phase of my life, I\u2019m in therapy right now because I\u2019m transitioning, you know?\u201d the mom-of-two said in a recent interview on the Jay Shetty Podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve finished a really hard thing in my life with my family intact, I\u2019m an empty nester, my girls are in\u2014you know, they\u2019ve been launched.\u201d<\/p>\n

Obama went on to say that marriage is \u201chard\u201d for them but she \u201cwouldn\u2019t trade it.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The 61-year-old acknowledged she now has \u201cother voices\u201d to talk to and a \u201cnew person that\u2019s getting to know me\u201d as she navigates life outside of public service.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I\u2019m getting that tune-up for this next phase because I believe this is a whole \u2018nother phase in life for me. And I now have the wisdom to know\u2014let me go get some coaching while I\u2019m doing it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The ex-first lady admitted, too, that therapy sessions were helping her \u201cunwind some old habits\u201d and \u201csort through some old guilt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michelle has been making the media rounds of late with her brother Craig Robinson \u2014 and has repeatedly addressed the rampant speculation her three-decade marriage is on the rocks.<\/p>\n

The Obamas have been dogged by divorce gossip after Michelle opted to skip several high-profile events earlier this year \u2014 including President Trump\u2019s inauguration.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,\u201d she told entrepreneur Steven Bartlett in an interview last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would be problem-solving in public, like, \u2018Let me tell you what he did\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to say that marriage is \u201chard\u201d for them but she \u201cwouldn\u2019t trade it.\u201d<\/p>\n
