Not everyone with a sweet tooth can imagine life without dessert.
However, we’re often too lazy to bother with the preparation.
Today, we’re offering you an easy Napoleon cake recipe that can be made directly in a jar.
Ingredients:
Shortcrust pastry preparation:Place the flour in a mixing bowl.
Add the salt and sugar.
Grate the cold butter.
Mix the ingredients together until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Fry the breadcrumbs:
Place the breadcrumbs in a frying pan.
Place the pan over medium heat.
Fry until golden brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning. This should take approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
Prepare the custard:
In a non-stick pan, combine the sugar and egg yolk.
Pour in the milk and whisk.
Add the flour and whisk again until smooth.
Place the pan over medium heat.
Cook the custard for 6 to 10 minutes, or until thickened.
Remove from the heat and let cool.
Assembling the desserts:
Once the pastry and custard have cooled,
begin assembling the dessert.
Spoon 2 tablespoons of the breadcrumb mixture into glasses or cups. Then add 2 tablespoons of custard.
Repeat the layers until the container is full.
Let the dessert chill in the refrigerator for about an hour.
Serve and decorate as desired.
Enjoy!
